No matter where or how you decide to birth, I will support you with love and respect. I am also a postpartum doula, attending parents in their home.

Why I’m a Doula

After the beautiful births of my own children, I wanted to become a champion for mothers. I had empowering birthing experiences, surrounded by women who were mothers, who knew birth, and who held sacred space for me.

I believe that every mother is born the day she gives birth. She becomes someone new. That change requires support, grace, and lack of judgment or unsolicited advice. As a doula, I want to give that grace, hold that sacred space, and not only support the mother but her partner as well.

I believe that championing parents goes beyond the labor and delivery space. That is why I am also passionate about postpartum care. I support parents in breastfeeding education, newborn care, prepare healthy meals, perform light housework, and look over older siblings. My role is to provide support for all mothers need while their bodies, souls, and spirits adjust to their new roles.

Birth and Postpartum Doula

As a certified birth and postpartum Doula, I pride myself in providing you and your partner with care, understanding, information, and support throughout, during, and after the birthing process. Our free initial consultation will help me tailor my packages to fit your needs, as every pregnancy is different. To schedule an initial consultation, or to learn more about my practice, please contact me.

BIRTHING GUIDANCE

As your Doula, I am there for you before, during, and after your birth. I will provide information and options so that you can determine the ideal birth scenario for yourself. I am knowledgeable about the birthing options in the area and can suggest locations that will support your birth plan. If you have questions, I am well-trained in pregnancy and am able to provide support for you in the weeks and months leading up to your birth.

I am armed with comfort and relaxation techniques, the most effective labor positions, and pain-releasing techniques and will partner with your clinical team to ensure that your voice is heard and respected during labor and delivery. I will also support your partner and encourage him in ways that he can support you.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

From our initial consultation, through your pregnancy and delivery, and to the other side, I will partner with you through it all.

I provide home cooked meals, perform light housework, care for older children, provide education in breastfeeding and newborn care, take care of the baby while you rest, shower, or get things done.

My goal is to support, educate, and nourish your family during your first few weeks at home as a new family. I am available by text or call for questions and concerns. Every new mom needs a few weeks of being mothered herself. I'm here to provide that maternal-like care for the home.
